Planes has step down from his position as sporting director of Real Betis to join Al-Ittihad in the same role. He immediately begin the job by approaching striker Angel Correa. The Argentinian from Atletico Madrid has yet to come to fruition. But Planes has succeed in bringing in both Laya Bneisha and Franck Garbo from Barcelona. 

Laya B’naisha join Barcelona as a sports psychologist last summer. But she was transfer to work in the same position with Barca Athletic. Which made her decide to move to work in Saudi Arabia immediately when she was approach by Planes. As for Franck Garbo, who has work with the club for 13 years and has Position of Management Director since 2017. Decided to step down from the position to join Planes as well.

Sport say two more of Barcelona’s staff will join Al-Ittihad in the coming days. Sports psychologist Laia Vinaixa had working with the first team until last summer. When he was re-position at Barca Atletic. he will leave immediately to join Al-Ittihad.
